Linda Nelson
Expert Guru
I would be sad to learn you can earn a degree in dog rescue as the instructions for this biography suggests that I include here. And in regards to expertise, my greatest sources have been the dogs I have rescued, fostered, rehabilitated and then placed in their furever homes. Each one has been a source by which I have learned something new simply by observing, trial and error, consistency, and dedication. Initially in life I began as a large breed dog guardian (I prefer to not use the term ‘owner’); however I began my journey in rescue with the retired Greyhound cause, moved onto volunteering with all-breed rescues and eventually settled on simply doing only rescue of Chinese Cresteds and Chihuahuas after 25+ years. For the past 10+ years I have been active in the fight against puppymills. I still hope that one day this barbaric industry will be better regulated and more humane. All of my canine family members are ‘rejects’ – either too old, too sick or a combination of the two. All the rest that have passed through our home might have arrived as shelter dog but were rehabilitated and then moved onto their own furever home!

Philosophy
To the world, you are just one more rescue person. But to the rescued dog? You ARE the world!
