A Special Spot
Give your puppy or dog a special spot in your home to call his or her own. This spot should have the dog´s own blanket, pillow or dog bed as well as toys. For a dog without a crate, this spot is the equivalent of the dog´s den or retreat. While you may encourage your dog to use this spot to escape during high activity in your home, never use this spot for punishment.
