Q: My MinPin puppy just got her ears cropped, and she is very uncomfortable. Any suggestions?
A: I am not a veterinarian, so it is inappropriate for me to try to answer this question in any detail. I have no way of guessing if your dog is experiencing normal discomfort after this type of surgery, or if a problem such as an infection might be developing.
I urge you to call the veterinary office where the surgery was performed and ask for clarification of what your minpin should be experiencing at this stage. The vet should be able to tell you if the discomfort is in the normal range when the ears are healing.
You are good to be concerned about your dogīs care and comfort. Please call your vetīs office as soon as possible.
