December 12, 2008, Newsletter Issue #266: Low Calorie Dog Treats

Tip of the Week

You can buy healthy, low-fat treats for you canine. Always look for products that contain the highest level of digestible products and little or no artificial preservatives. Many of the major pet retailers do carry products touted as low fat doggy treats. Be sure to check the label so that you know what you're buying.

Another alternative, if you're willing to spend a little extra, is to take your canine to a dog bakery and pick up some tasty, healthy treats there. Or, if you want to spend the time, you can obtain recipes for healthy, low calorie treats and make them yourself.
